In Response to Rocket Fire, IDF Targets Terror Activity Site in the Gaza Strip

Overnight, IAF aircraft targeted a terror activity site in the northern Gaza Strip. A direct hit was confirmed. The targeting of this site was in response to the firing of a rocket at Israel on Sunday evening.

Since Israel withdrew from the Gaza Strip in 2005, terrorists have fired more than 7,000 rockets and mortars into Israel, putting millions of Israelis under threat on a daily basis.

The IDF will not tolerate any attempt to harm the State of Israel and IDF soldiers, and will continue to operate against anyone who uses terror against the state of Israel. The Hamas terror organization is solely responsible for any terrorist activity emanating from the Gaza Strip.
